(Fredericton) December 22, 2016 - Horizon Health Network in partnership with the Oromocto Public Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce free patient WiFi is here, just in time for the holidays! Starting today, wireless Internet is available for all patients at the Oromocto Public Hospital.

"Horizon's first strategic priority is to provide the best possible experience for patients while in our care," said Andrea Seymour, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Corporate for Horizon Health Network. "The Oromocto Hospital Foundation shares our passion for patient and family centred care. We are delighted to partner with them to provide wireless Internet to keep our patients connected to their loved ones when they need it the most."

The wireless network, called 'WiFi - Patients', will improve the health-care experience and allow patients to stay in touch with family and friends through website access, social media, and email.

"The Oromocto Public Hospital Foundation supports initiatives and equipment purchases which increase access or enhance the quality of health care delivery for patients", said Tim Daley, President of the Oromocto Public Hospital Foundation. "We are pleased to partner with Horizon in providing free internet access to patients so they may maintain contact with their family's support structure and enrich their experience while in hospital care."

Seymour says Horizon is grateful for the Oromocto Public Hospital's support and commitment in providing exceptional care to every person, every day. Wireless internet for patients is available at certain Horizon hospitals.
