Congratulations to Emergency Management Coordinators
Horizon Health Network is pleased to announce that Horizon Emergency Management Coordinators Jeff Whyte, Sharf Chowdhury, and Jeff Tochkin have passed their Emergency Manager certification exams.
This is an important achievement towards completing their CEM certification. They must also complete 100 course hours in emergency management and 100 course hours in general management, participate in a full-scale disaster training exercise, submit of a structured essay, and provide evidence of six distinct contributions to the field.
CEM® is a voluntary certification program offered by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) for individuals in the emergency management profession.
Certification indicates that the individual has the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively manage a comprehensive emergency management program and improve emergency management capabilities.
There are currently 60 Certified Emergency Managers in Canada and 1,497 in the world.
