On Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, a multi-agency‎ emergency management exercise will be conducted at Horizon Health Network's Miramichi Regional Hospital.

The exercise, involving community and public safety partners, will test response plans and protocols, as well as communication and collaboration between the multiple organizations. The ultimate goal will be to ensure the safety of Horizon patients and the quality of care they receive.

Staff, patients, clients and the public will see increased activity on hospital grounds on August 11, however access to the facility and patient-care services will not be affected in any way.

 Participating agencies include: 

•             Ground Search and Rescue (New Brunswick and Prince Edward
Island)
•             Horizon Health Network (Miramichi Regional Hospital)
•             Ambulance New Brunswick
•             Miramichi Police Force
•             Royal Canadian Mounted Police
•             New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization
•             Miramichi Fire Department
