Queen’s North Community Health Centre hosts 5th Annual Harvest Festival

(MINTO) September 19, 2013 - The fifth Annual Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Queen's North Community Health Centre in Minto.

This outdoor community event celebrates the harvest season and promotes healthy lifestyles to people of all ages.

"This is a great opportunity for community members to network, get connected with the resources available to them in their community, and celebrate all the great assets the Grand Lake Area has to offer, all while having fun!" says Shannon Stuart, Community Developer for the Queens North Community Health Centre.

This year features Dr. Sean Morrissey from Mountain Bike Minto who will offer a mountain bike clinic. There will be a bike rally and bike safety session as well.

Other staff from the Queen's North Community Health Centre and representatives of local community organizations will be onsite to provide information on health and wellness programs and resources. Participants at the festival will have the opportunity to test their skills at the many games, participate in a yoga demonstration, register for the fall walk/run program and sample delicious healthy food while enjoying the hospitality.
