Volunteers Needed for Hospital Palliative Care Program

(HORIZON) February 11, 2013 - Horizon Health Network is hosting a one-day training workshop across Southeastern New Brunswick for people who would like to volunteer in palliative care. The workshop will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013.

Hospital palliative care volunteers provide support to patients and their families during their time of need. The palliative care volunteer training will include an introduction to palliative care, education on death, dying and grief and the development of communication and support skills.

Workshops will be held in the Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton and Upper River Valley areas.
