Charlotte County Hospital Goes Smoke-Free

ST. STEPHEN (Monday, September 26, 2016)

Members of the media are invited to attend Charlotte County Hospital's 'Smoke-Free Together' launch.

Date:               Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Time:               11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Presentation at 11:30 a.m.)

Location:         Charlotte County Hospital Lobby,  4 Garden St., St. Stephen, N.B.

Charlotte County Hospital is the latest Horizon hospital to go smoke-free. Three other facilities will go smoke-free this fall:

  • Grand Manan Hospital (September 28)

  • The Moncton Hospital (October 5)

  • Sackville Memorial Hospital (October 5)

Presentations include remarks from Allan MacEachern, Mayor of St. Stephen and a ceremonial "butting out" in lieu of a ribbon cutting to remind everyone to "butt out" before they come onto hospital property.

Beginning September 27, smoking or vaping will not be permitted on hospital property. On October 5, all Horizon hospitals will be smoke-free properties, demonstrating Horizon's commitment to improving the health and wellness of all New Brunswickers.
